Bahrain participates in the International Labor Conference
Bahrain’s Minister of Labor and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, is attending the 110th session of the International Labor Conference. This session session is currently underway in Geneva until the 11th of June. The plenary session of the meeting discussed the report of the Director-General on crisis recovery and the support for the least developed countries. The labor minister said the current session comes at an important time considering the state of economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic over two years ago.
The conference offers the opportunity to review the experience of the Kingdom in addressing the pandemic, the stage of economic recovery, and the measures taken to maintain economic growth in vital sectors, he said. The conference is one of the largest and most important international conferences held annually. Leaders and producers from all countries, as well as international organizations, participate in this conference, which has a high reputation as a forum for talking about employment and social protection.
